Those of us who are proponents and genuinely aspire for meaningful transformation, remember that this too is affixed with a hefty price.

A cost that can likely involve standing alone! Identifying your authentic voice and employing it for the sake of yourself and others is challenging to say the least. Yet, circumventing specific challenges because of fear is equally taxing.

Do you realize that your voice should evoke progressive change? Were you ever in an uncomfortable position that demanded your opinion, and you failed to speak up for what was right?

Perhaps, your action for surrendering stems from a place of discomfort or comfort, but are you sincerely serving yourself and others by giving in? Of course, it is easier to sit back and allow others to fight your battles. Even so, when will you champion a cause that benefits you and others?

Truthfully, we casually converse about the heroes such as Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Sir Lynden Pindling, etc. These iconic individuals have stood in the face of danger and dismantle barriers that could have disenfranchised us today. Nonetheless, they fulfilled their assignment!

Here is my challenge to you personally convey your thoughts when the need arises because your participation can validate others and provoke them to stand up.

What cause are you eager to champion?
